Hello All... I would like to introduce myself; My name is Aeon. I'm a ex-PC Player (filthy machines..) that has moved to the Mac. I've been playing Everquest for the past few years in a high-end raiding guild on Tarew Marr. Though my main was a 65 mage, I have played every class up to and around lvl's 40-55 (Aside from Enchanters and Necros) and am looking for another friendly guild interested in conquest through the interest of fun, exploration, and skill, to get back to where I left off. Though I am starting new and am not expecting to kill the Emperor tomorrow night, I still think I could help the guild, as well as the guild could help me get back into the swing of things and bring good company and new challenges at pioneering the eq universe. I'm currently working on an Iksar Shaman under the name of Ayael. I'm well informed on almost everything there is to know about Everquest, most importantly raiding and upper-echelon leveling as well as class-role and organization and would like to be able to help the guild, learn things I may have not experienced in my time, as well as enjoy company of others who are at the same level of EQGaming. Temerity is the place for me to find it all and I hope to hear from more of you. Those that I have come in contact with are not only skilled and knowledgeable, but are some of the friendliest and willing to lend a helping hand and I would like to be part of the reputation you all hold. I love ogre shaman =\ they are my favorite. i actually have one but got SLIGHTLY frustrated with being so ugly. I figure, i can play any class no matter the race, so why should I bother with a n00b problem of starting stats? Will i regret the decision when i'm higher level, though? Well possibly. the Added STA for high level canni+HealOverTime spells we get is definatly a bonus. Plus ogre's level faster than iksar and have benfits as far as getting their butt whomped as quickly.. This being said, I can always change. But end game does it really matter? The differences are really only for the first 40 levels. I can always get +STA gear but chances are its easier for me to get my wis to over 200 with either iksar and ogre than get my sta as high on an iksar than an ogre. Certaintly the ogre can melee better but how much will i be melee'ing once i pass level 50? Anyway, as you can see... i've thought about it a lot. As i'm only lvl 21 I am open to being persuaded another way, as it only takes me a few days to get back to the 20's. haha.. cadsuane got me.. i forgot its not as easy to find iksar equipment on Mac server than it was for me elsewhere. now to think of a name for my ogre.. <style type="text/css">

Hes lvl 21 or 22 as of last night, grouped with him with my monk in paludol and have been chattin in tells wit him ever since, Real kool guy and knows what he is doing =0)

It's not hard to find iksar equipment. Unless you really want totemic armor, and jaundiced (and the bracer is the only decent piece). I don't think it's a big deal either way, Cad just likes jbb too much. Ikkies have regen to canni better. I like troll the best though for snare, and regen. Nihilists! Fuck me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.

shrug.. at this point the decision is quite moot. doesnt matter which i play, just which one gets me higher, faster.. my old shaman was a barb so i'm used to not having the regen.. and at higher levels.. its all moot = shrug, heh,, oh well.. whatever<img src="/forums/images/gpicons/face_wink.gif"> i'll decide when they're both 21 <style type="text/css">

the more i play the ogre the more i think it liked the iksar better.. we'll see. =) he's almost the same level as my iksar, i'll decide then. its like The Weakest Link - EQ Race Edition <style type="text/css">
